Article 21 Entry into Force; Effective Dates of Ratifications and Accessions

(i)

the ten States referred to in paragraph (1), from the date on which this Treaty has entered into force;

(ii)

each other State, from the expiration of three months after the date on which the State has deposited its instrument of ratification or accession with the Director General, or from any later date indicated in that instrument, but no later than six months after the date of such deposit;

(iii)

each of the European Patent Organisation, the Eurasian Patent Organization and the African Regional Industrial Property Organization, from the expiration of three months after the deposit of its instrument of ratification or accession, or from any later date indicated in that instrument, but no later than six months after the date of such deposit, if such instrument has been deposited after the entry into force of this Treaty according to paragraph 1, or three months after the entry into force of this Treaty if such instrument has been deposited before the entry into force of this Treaty;

(iv)

any other intergovernmental organization that is eligible to become party to this Treaty, from the expiration of three months after the deposit of its instrument of ratification or accession, or from any later date indicated in that instrument, but no later than six months after the date of such deposit.
