Subject to Article 7:101 and Article 7:102 of the PEICL, Articles 14:101 — 14:503 of the Principles of European Contract Law (PECL)1. shall apply to claims arising out of a contract of insurance. The insurance contract may derogate from these provisions in accordance with Article 1:103 para. 2 of the PEICL.
