The host State shall not exercise its jurisdiction or proceed with a request for assistance or extradition from another State with regard to persons surrendered to the Tribunal, persons granted provisional release or persons who appear before the Tribunal voluntarily or pursuant to a summons, for any acts, omissions or convictions prior to the surrender, the transfer or the appearance before the Tribunal except as may be provided for in the Rules of Procedure and Evidence.

Where a person referred to in paragraph 1 of this article is, for any reason, released from the custody of the Tribunal without conviction, that paragraph shall continue to apply for a period of fifteen consecutive days from the date of his or her release.
