These Principles apply with appropriate adaptations to contracts of barter.

A contract of barter is a contract under which each party undertakes to transfer the ownership of goods, either immediately on conclusion of the contract or at some future time, in return for the ownership of goods other than money.
(3)
Each party is considered to be the buyer with respect to the goods to be received and the seller with respect to the goods to be transferred.
