The running of the period of prescription is suspended as long as the creditor is prevented from pursuing the claim by an impediment which is beyond the creditor's control and which the creditor could not reasonably have been expected to avoid or overcome.
(2)
Paragraph (1) applies only if the impediment arises, or subsists, within the last six months of the prescription period.
