An ‘assignment’ of a right is the transfer of the right from one person (the ‘assignor’) to another person (the ‘assignee’).
(2)
An ‘act of assignment’ is a contract or other juridical act which is intended to effect a transfer of the right.
(3)
Where part of a right is assigned, any reference in this Section to a right includes a reference to the assigned part of the right.
