For security rights in all types of assets, effectiveness may be achieved by registration of the security right pursuant to Section 3.

Effectiveness can also be achieved pursuant to Section 2:

(a)

in the case of corporeal assets, by the secured creditor holding possession of the encumbered assets; or

(b)

in the case of certain intangible assets, by the secured creditor exercising control over the encumbered assets.
